6. Noncollinear Optical Parametric Amplifier(NOPA)

Noncollinear Optical Parametric Amplifier (NOPA) is a femtosecond instrument that generates and compresses tunable laser. With a 800nm femtosecond laser pumping, signal within wavelength range of 500-750nm (signal) and 860-2000nm (Idler). NOPA has become one of the widely used instruments in ultrafast pump-probe and time-resolved fluorescence measurement experiments.
Our group has designed and built commercialized NOPA with compression module. Under 250mW, 1kHz, 150fs laser pumping, the output laser is tunable in 500-750nm range. Its output power is around 5mW on 600nm, and beam divergence angle is smaller than 5mrad. The stability is nearly the same as its pump laser. The pump width of the output laser is about 200fs without compression, and under 50fs after compression.
